thanks neil, this is helpful - i guess its hard without having worked directly with other premiere users to know what is normal and what is excessive! (I still dont get why it fails in different places though, and will work after a reboot!?). Coming from a photography background, having 27 layers of adjustment just seems normal .I love the look I get from this setup, but I could change my workflow a bit - (like rendering out an interim sequence and doing the final effects on that).
